What this work involves
Heat pumps handle both heating and cooling and are extremely well suited to the Eastern Panhandle's mild-to-moderate winters. We install and service standard and cold-climate heat pumps, including dual-fuel setups that switch to a gas or propane furnace during a hard freeze. Common repair work involves reversing valves, defrost boards and auxiliary heat strips that run far more than they should and quietly inflate the electric bill.
Signs you need this service
- Auxiliary or emergency heat running constantly in winter
- The outdoor unit stays iced over and never clears
- Heating works but cooling does not, or the reverse
- A very high winter electric bill
